Patient – Covid Safety Update 12th July 2021

As everyone is aware a large number of the current/official Covid restrictions are being lifted from Monday 19th July and there is a responsibility on Individuals and/or organisations to make more personal decisions about their own situation and/or environment and to decide what precautions and safety measures they believe are appropriate in their own situation.

With that in mind and given the nature of the services provided by the Surgery we believe it’s important for us to maintain a high level of safety precautions for the foreseeable future and would therefore ask patients to continue to wear a mask and observe the safety guidelines that are in place whilst visiting the surgery. Receptionists will take a patient’s temperature on arrival and ask how a patient is feeling on the day to help identify anyone who might have any Covid symptoms or be a potential risk.Hand sanitisers have been placed at various points around the building for use by both staff and patients.

All Patients will still need to have an initial telephone triage appointment with either a doctor, Nurse Practitioner or Pharmacist; a face to face appointment will then be arranged if needed. Please be assured that if you need to be seen this will be arranged in a timely manner.

We thank everyone in advance for their understanding and on-going support in helping us to maintain the highest possible safety standards within our environment whilst the Pandemic is on-going and we have vulnerable patients visiting us on a daily basis.

We will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis.
