Dear Patients
As part of our commitment to providing the highest quality care to all our patients, we want to clarify the non-NHS services, which can sometimes result in additional charges.
The NHS is funded to provide comprehensive healthcare to all eligible patients, but there are certain tasks that fall outside the NHS remit. These tasks require additional time, administrative support, and sometimes specialist input from our staff. As such, we are required to charge a fee to cover these costs.
For example:
- Private medical reports (e.g for insurance purposes)
- Medical examinations (e.g for private fostering, sports clearance)
- Personal forms (e.g for school or fitness to drive)
Please note, that the GP will not be able to complete the form, if you have not consulted with them on the issue being raised. In which case you should contact Reception to arrange a face to face or telephone consultation.
In order to remain transparent, we have outlined the standard fees for non-NHS work on our website here.
We appreciate your understanding of these changes, and we remain dedicated to providing excellent healthcare services to all our patients.
