Recently there has been a lot of media coverage on the use of weight loss injections (Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy) and as it stands the NHS has no formal service to safely prescribe these medications under the obesity license despite the demand. We currently provide these medications for eligible type 2 diabetes patients who are struggling with clinical obesity under diabetes optimisation plans.
