Baby and Childhood Vaccines

The surgery will automatically contact you when your baby or child is due any immunisations. You may also receive contact from the Child Health Immunisation Team.

Shingles

Our Care Coordinators will invite patients in for their shingles vaccine when they are eligible.

Pneumococcal

Patients aged 65 and over will be invited in by our Care Coordinators as they become eligible.

RSV

The RSV vaccine is recommended during pregnancy (from 28 weeks) or for adults aged 75 to 79. Our Care Coordinators will invite in eligible patients.

Flu

Flu vaccination is safe and effective. It’s offered every year through the NHS to help protect people at risk of getting seriously ill from flu.

Travel

Vaccination Charges

Free travel vaccinations Included on the NHS are:

  • Polio, Diphtheria and Tetanus booster- 3 in 1 vaccine – 10 years protection.
  • Hepatitis A – 2 years protection after 2 doses.
  • Typhoid fever – 3 years of protection.
  • Cholera (only if considered high risk).

All other travel vaccinations are treated as private for travel purposes and therefore command a fee. Therefore, if your Travel Health Pro information recommends other vaccinations that we cannot provide, you can obtain them from a private travel clinic but pleased be advised that you will need to book an appointment with a private clinic at least 6 weeks in advance of your intended trip as you may need a course of vaccinations.
