The Emmer Green Surgery Patient Group began in October 2011, recruiting to the practice's virtual group. In the summer of 2012 we decided to start having face to face meetings and try to form a regular patient participation group to work alongside our virtual group.
Since then we have been meeting every couple of months, discussing various topics from parking and issues with the layout of our reception area to the changes to the Out of Hours service and CCG progress. We also have a section on our meeting agenda for any feedback from the Patient Voice meetings that one of our group members attends every month (this group is made up of a patient representative from each of the practices in our CCG) and is a direct channel of communication to and from the CCG to the patient group.
Practice meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday every other month. Our current Chairperson is Mrs Ruth Thomas. If you have any questions about the group please contact either the Practice Manager or Mrs Thomas who is happy to receive any queries to her email address which is .
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 28th March 2017 between 4.30pm - 5.30pm and all patients are welcome to attend but we do ask that you let us know you will be attending via the Patient Group email address which is RCCG.firstname.lastname@example.org
We would welcome any new members to the group, from as broad a spectrum as possible to make our group truly representative of the practice population. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
If you are happy to get involved, please send us a message via the 'Contact Us' tab above.
We will be in touch shortly after we receive your message. Please note that no medical information or questions will be responded to.
Many thanks for your assistance
